Talawanda High School has opened up their Head Boys Basketball coaching position for next year. Tim Reed accepted the position last September after the position was left open by the previous hire. He brought with him thirty years of teaching experience and twenty-nine years of basketball coaching experience. He was a coach on the 2004 Hamilton High School OHSAA Division I State Championship team. We appreciate Coach Reed stepping in and taking over the program with such short notice. He led the team to a 5-18 record this past year. We thought he did a great during the time he was our basketball coach. With Mr. Reed coaching two varsity sports, the district thought it was important to both programs that we ask him to be the head coach of only one of the sports. Being a head coach for a high school program is very time consuming especially when they overlap. We felt we needed to put both teams in a situation for success. He will remain with the Baseball program where he has been for the past three seasons. Any interested candidates in the basketball position should send a cover letter, resume, and references to Athletic Director, Wes Cole at email@example.com.
