The Talawanda High School Girls Tennis team competed in the Southwest Ohio Conference league tournament on Wednesday finishing in 2nd place overall. It was a great day for the Lady Braves. Talawanda had 4 individuals/teams in the Finals. The Braves were led by the 2nd Doubles team of Alyssa Smith and Sunjoon Lee who were champions in their bracket and received 2nd team All-SWOC Honors. Mazvita Ngorosha finished runner up in 1st Singles which put her on the All-SWOC 1st Team. Katie Lockhart also finished runner-up in 2nd Singles which placed her on the All-SWOC 2nd team. Molly Monson finshed runner-up in 3rd singles and the Doubles team of Rori Lykins and Alexandra Flick finished 3rd in their bracket. Talawanda finished in a 3-way tie for 1st place during the regular season. The Braves are back in action at the sectional tournament next Wednesday at Mason.
