The Talawanda High School Girls Soccer team visited the defending SWOC champions and 2016 player of the year Eva Kiper on Tuesday evening. The Braves were determined from the start to show they belong in the conference title chase this season. Little Miami scored the first and only goal of the match late in the first half. Our defense was led by Kaitlyn Smith, Sydney Rollins and Jenna Jarvis who held off the constant attack of the Panthers and held Kiper scoreless in the match. Talawanda had multiple chances to score the equalizer late in the match but could not find the back of the net. Even with the blistering pace and both teams combining for over 350 completed passes in the match, the Braves never backed down and gave 100%. The 2-3 Braves look to get back to .500 on Saturday at home against Eaton with the JV starting at 1:00pm followed by the varsity at 3:00pm.
